Tour Overview
A 3-hour journey exploring Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter with sketching and cultural experience.
- Board a sightseeing boat and cruise through Aberdeen’s fishing village, passing various landmarks of the Typhoon Shelter.
- Learn the background and stories behind each landmark with guided narration.
- Step onto a traditional floating home to experience the authentic living environment of fishermen in the past.
- Guided by a professional art instructor, participate in an outdoor sketching session onboard, transforming community stories and fishing culture into creative artworks.
- Share artworks and creative insights with fellow participants, nurturing visual arts knowledge and appreciation.

Group Activity Fee
- Minimum group size: 25 people per tour
HK$350 per person
Time Slots: 09:30–12:30 / 14:00–17:00 (adjustable)
Ticket includes: sightseeing boat fare, entrance to the floating home, professional sketch instructor, sketching materials (e.g., pencils, erasers, colour pencils, watercolour, pastels), insurance, and a participation certificate issued by the Hong Kong Waterborne Culture Association.

LittleJade is a Hong Kong-born illustrator, urban sketch artist, muralist, and art educator. Passionate about sharing ideas through art, she has over 10 years of experience teaching painting classes, especially to youth and adults with special needs. Since 2018, she has become a full-time artist, focusing on illustration, urban sketching, and community art. She believes art connects people across backgrounds, cultures, and languages.

Moses is a passionate multimedia designer who founded Drawing Buddies Hong Kong to combine sketching with community cultural tours. Inspired by Hong Kong’s local history and daily life, he captures fleeting beauty with his pen, creating artwork rich in life and cultural expression.
Itinerary
- Sightseeing boat tour of Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter landmarks, with audio narration on the history of Hong Kong’s fishing communities. (Around 30 minutes)
- Visit to the floating home “Hong Kong Floating House,” offering a deep dive into the everyday life of fishermen and the evolution of the local community. (Around 30 minutes)
- Outdoor sketching session onboard led by a professional instructor. Participants with basic drawing experience will learn sketching techniques while capturing the scenery and culture of Aberdeen.(Around 90 minutes)
- Participants share their artworks and creative concepts, reflect on their observations, and explore how art connects with life. This cultivates skills in visual expression, appreciation, critical thinking, and creative development.(Around 30 minutes)
Event Registration Guidelines
- Upon receiving the registration information via email, the organizer will contact the applicant by phone or email within two weeks.
- The applying organization must arrange for an accompanying group leader to be present and participate in the event on the event day.
- The applying organization must ensure that participants stay with the group throughout the activity and follow the instructions of the leader.
